Who was Abel Tasman?

Abel Tasman was a Dutch explorer with a curly moustache.

Abel Tasman came to New Zealand looking for a southern continent because it might of

had a lot of  minerals.The ships were called the Heemskerk and Zeehaen, they took Abel

Tasman and his crew to New Zealand.

The ships reached golden bay but a fight between the Dutch and the

Maori. One of the Maori’s waka crashed into a Dutch paddle boat. Maori thought that the

dutch were ferries that took women and kids.

Did you know that Abel Tasman nether stepped onto New Zealand. Abel Tasman was the

first eropeun to discover New Zealand.

Washington dc

Breaking news an unknown flying box scares citizens in Washington DC with lasers and rockets now let's go to someone in the action, to you Steve. The box is flying  around shooting lasers and rockets! What? What’s that? Oh my gosh it’s a missile! This guy is now holding onto the box and flying up to the missile! Huh what’s that? BAGEL! Well back to us the missile was heading for Moscow Russia but it blew up in the sty, wait how did nothing get damaged? It was a missile!

I learnt how to write like a reporter in this task.

My art

My class as been doing mandala art for the past few weeks. 
It's maths because we used a compass and protractor.
First we used the compass to draw the mandala.
Next we coloured it in.
The last thing we did was colour the background.
Here is my mandala.

We used this picture of a bird and I changed the background to a blurred beach.  I used it to tell you where I would like to go.

My class was writing poems.
We got given a photo and we had to write a poem about the photo.

Birth day party

Knock knock! My friends come in and I say hello.

I did not know how to write about this event.

Jandal art

My class made jandals, you can see mine to the left.
First we had to draw our pattern onto our jandals.
Next we did the first layer then the second layer and the third layer.
When we were finished our teacher put the straps on.
I liked doing the pattern.
I did not like doing the first layer.
