Long jump slow writing

Long jump

The sawdust is as soft as a pillow.
Leaping off a hard wooden plank.
Sliced sawdust tickles my feet.
How far will I jump? So far!!
I landed on the other side of the sawdust.
Quickly running then I jump.
Gravity pulling me down to earth.

Clay art

This is my clay creation it's a smiling face.
I made this because when i'm a year six I want to be happy.
I made my creation from wet clay and made face fetchers.
I found it hard to make the mouth.
I'm proud of it because I worked hard on it.

Tsunami

Terrifying Tsunami

Do you know what a tsunami is?
A tsunami is a giant wave that travels in land.

Do you know what causes tsunamis?
  • Earthquakes are when tectonic plates smash into each other.
  • Underwater landslides are when a chunk of land falls down a slope.

Do you know it in different languages?
The word tsunami comes from Japan. Tsunami is spelt the
same
in different languages and the word Te ngaru is tsunami in Maori.
Do you know the effects of tsunamis?
Tsunamis can cause a lot damage and have a lot of bad effects
like.
  • Flooding is when a lot of water is over a place.
  • Buildings could fall down.
  • You could get washed away or hurt.

Trivey
A tsunami can be as tall as 30m.
The place where most tsunamis happen is the pacific.
It can travel 10 miles in land.

Conclusion
In conclusion I think that tsunamis are earth’s scariest natural

disaster.

Connect four

  1. Nikau and Luke are playing a game of connect 4 , then Luke Accidentally breaks the rules .
  2. Then Legacy tells Luke one of the rules in connect 4 , and then ask Nikau and Luke if they would

I found it hard to make the video with my team. I liked being in the video.

Is our school waste free?

Is our school waste free?
Tuesday 26th June 2018 to Wednesday 27th June 2018

I strongly disagree that Awapuni school is waste free!

Firstly if you go walking around our school you will find mandarin skins and slices. If you got directions to the p.e shed you would see mandarins everywhere. Mandarins can root and then a greenhouse gas could get into the atmosphere and that could lead to bad consequences. Secondly our school drinks milk and sometimes we find plastic from the milk. Straws are attached to our milks and sometimes we don’t take care of them.

Thirdly sometimes kids just learn about recycling but they don’t do it. In fact kids share such good zero waste facts but they won’t recycle.

I think that Awapuni school is not waste free because most of our work is done on chrome books and that’s wasteful. So you need to change now!
